She Wants to Feel Free

This poem was written during an earlier chapter of life,
when freedom felt like something I was still learning to understand.

Looking back, I see it not as a destination, but as a reflection
of the journey — the gradual freedom from fear, from old stories,
from expectations and from the limitations we place upon ourselves.

Sometimes growth begins with a simple desire:
to live more freely and become more fully who we are...

She wants to feel free
from the shackles of her thoughts.
From the limitations in her mind.
From the pain in her heart.

She wants to feel free.
From the memories deep within.
From the illusions she creates.
From the hurts she re-lives.

She wants to find freedom.
In her life.
In her heart.
In her soul.

She wants to find freedom
in her love.
In her partner.
In her professional pursuit.

She creates a life.
A life to explore.
A life of purpose.
A life from which to prosper.

Because to find that freedom
from which her mind entraps her,

she can allow that freedom
also for her partner.

And release the fears.
The fears of betrayal.
The fears of loss of love.
The fears of letting go.

To feel free for two people,
with love of each other,
with love of themselves,
with love of life.

To feel that freedom,
where two people unite to become one,

but still have freedom within themselves,
and freedom for each other..

is the most loving...
the most comforting...
the most uplifting...
love you can ever experience.

True love.
True freedom.
